Public Access at Ardverikie

Day Visitors are welcome to walk over the public areas of Ardverikie Estate at any time, areas around Ardverikie Castle and all residential properties are private and we ask that members of the public do not intrude.

In order to preserve the special nature of the estate and for the protection of the environment and people we do not permit vehicular access onto the estate itself.

Visitors will need to park in the layby on the A86 situated approximately ¼ mile west of Gatelodge (Grid ref NN 533896) and walk onto the estate from there.

For access into the far west end of the estate at Moy it is best to park in the large layby next to the concrete bridge (Grid ref NN 433830) and walk in from there. During Stalking Season (August to March) climbers and hill walkers can contact the Estate Office during normal office hours if they are concerned about clashing with stalking activities.

Motor vehicles of any kind are not permitted anywhere on the estate. We do ask that you respect the privacy of our residents, staff and guests – private areas around houses are well signposted.

We are strong supporters of the Scottish Outdoor Access Code – for more details of the code please visit their website at https://www.outdooraccess-scotland.scot/

Visitors who are registered disabled (ie. Blue Badge holders) can make arrangements with the Estate Office for access during office hours – a member of staff from the estate can escort you through the security barriers and out again. Please arrange your visit well in advance with the Estate Office in order for us to organise your visit.
