Film and TV Locations at Ardverikie

Ardverikie's beautiful surroundings make it an obvious choice as a filming location in Scotland.

Ardverikie has long been a star of the silver screen, and is perhaps most famous as the setting for "Glen Bogle" in the much loved BBC series Monarch of the Glen - but it has also featured in many other films, TV programmes and commercials.

Guests staying on the estate will be able to visit many of the areas that have featured in Monarch and other more recent productions.

The movie, Mrs. Brown (1997) starring Dame Judy Dench as Queen Victoria and the Scottish comedian Billy Connelly as John Brown was filmed on the estate.

In The Missionary the Reverend Charles Fortescue (Michael Palin) travels 500 miles from London to Carnoustie House in the Highlands of Scotland. This was filmed at Ardverikie Castle, which also features as a location in the Ewan McGregor film Salmon Fishing in the Yemen.
