For the first time, a history of the estate from its foundation in the mid nineteenth century up until 1914 is available.
Entitled "A Castle in the Air", the book was written by notably local land agent Ricky Sidgwick, who has had a lifelong association with Ardverikie and the surrounding area.
The book is lavishly illustrated, with many copies of correspondence between Sir JWR Ramsden and his advisors and employees. Filled with detail and interesting facts it runs to 203 pages and is available in both hardback and softback.
Also available, is "Sixty Glorious Seasons" – a firsthand account of celebrated Stalker and Gamekeeper Finlay Mackintosh, who was employed at Ardverikie and its surrounding estates for his entire life. Hardback only.
